There are numerous scientific and general uses for the 2LS viewer. This slim-line instrument has dual independent light sources as standard, and for scientists who require an illuminated screen area or magnifier, this practical combination is available with modern styling and attractively finished enclosure.

Both fluorescent light sources operate from low voltage power introducing improved safety and an operating temperature only a few degrees above ambient. Light is distributed uniformly through the 10" square opal glass screen providing sufficient illumination for transparent detail, yet soft enough to prevent glare. The efficiency of the unit can be clearly appreciated.

It includes 'quick start' fluorescent units and a wide field rectangular magnifier which may be positioned anywhere over the screen area. Ample sized clamp knobs permit rise, fall and swivel positions of the magnifier, or complete removal when only the illuminated screen is required.

Electrical connection to the overhead lighting is by multi-way plug and socket and each set of lamps is switched independently. The viewer is fused for 110V or 240V operation. Two adjustable feet at the rear of the unit enable the screen to be tilted forward for additional viewing convenience. A retaining strip at the forward end of the screen prevents items sliding from the work surface.
