SOLAR POWER OPTION FOR SPORE SAMPLER |
 The
spore sampler solar power kit is a compact and highly efficient solar pack
that can support continuous operation in all weather conditions in any country.
The solar panel is only 330mm x 175mm x 35mm
and weighs only 1Kg. It can be housed in an aluminium frame for floor
or roof mounting or pole mounted for free standing operation.
The kit includes a battery & controller
which allows operation over night from the charge it receives during the
day providing continuous 24 hour operation.
The solar power kit provides the answer to
the free standing power requirements of the Burkard spore sampler for
a minimal cost.

Voltage Power Option for 7-Day & 24-Hour Spore Samplers
Burkard Scientific Spore Samplers are often required to be sited away from
mains sources in remote areas, and also to be capable of operating on domestic
power. For this reason Burkard Scientific have introduced the COMBINED mains
and battery spore samplers.
The dual voltage power supply unit for 7 day and 24 hour spore samplers
is an interchangeable item with the standard 240V AC or 12V DC pump.
Each input voltage is common to the DC motor and speed controller. Two input
cables are clearly marked on each end of the power housing:
1. Red/black cable for 12 volt battery operation
2. Blue/brown for 240 volt mains
The sealed plastic housing is fitted with a speed controller to adjust the
intake flow at the sampling orifice to 10 litres/minute and a battery/mains
selection switch. The rotary switch will isolate the two voltages in either
position - as indicated.
It is recommended that the 240V connection to the sampler is by waterproof
plug and socket to meet safety standards.
